As I currently write this, I find myself in a slight disagreement with a fellow blogger. A post made by Nate Levy describes how additional speed increases (Minor in my eyes) will be obtainable by spending those officer tokens that you’ve been hoarding. Now this change was brought to my attention by Werit, but my slight disagreement is with Bootae who is vehemently opposed to the change.

The Case Of The Disappearing LotD PQ Information

Well I finally got “into” LotD this week. I tried to work out, what the beep beep I needed to do and generally do a little bit of exploring. I hadn’t logged onto the PTS servers while this patch was up for testing, since I wanted it to be nice and fresh when I first logged on. Plus I have bugger all spare time and when it comes down to it, testing versus playing, isn’t going to happen.
Healers Who Don’t Heal (Arrggghhh)

Okay, nothing gets my goat like this one.
If you are healer, then bloody well heal, that was why you picked that character type in the first place (That includes all you hybrids). Carry two sets of armour, one for leveling (PVE) and one healing (RVR), use the addon equipmentsets to flip armour, tactics and morale abilities easily, when jumping between scenarios/ORvR and PVE.
Things Are All Quiet On The Western Front

It’s the truth, not a lots happening.
The guild is quiet, warhammer is quiet and a lot of the blogs are quiet. On the guild front, I am hoping that things will pick up when the Land Of The Dead turns up. Though I am in no particular rush for that, as long as it’s stable when it arrives.

I have returned from Rome, alive, if mildly disappointed with my teams sorry excuse for a performance against Barcelona. However the right team won and there were no complaints from any of the Man Utd fans who travelled to the match. Rome was nice, if slightly to warm and the food was good. The beer was very expensive, somewhere in the £5 a pint region. I will never complain about London prices ever again (I lied).
Controlling Access To LotD

This is another one of those instances, where this started off as a relatively simple comment or two on another blog and went onto blossom into a full blown post here, as I got more into the subject matter. The original comments were over at Keen & Graevs, but I have expanded it into a bit of a wall of text here.
An Interesting Insight Into Combat Maths

I was reading a very interesting post by Adam Gershowitz on the Warhammer Online boards, that was dealing with combat maths and the problems of coping with Min/Max users versus the average player, with regard to spike damage abilities, like executes.
The Changing Face Of War

The initial thoughts for this came about when I was considering how the new LotD would cleverly re-energise the games earlier content (1 through 25), while re-directing people into LotD when they effectively hit tier 4. Which some people tend to consider a bit dull. I would agree that re-energise is probably to strong a word, but I liked it and I’ll be dammed if I don’t get to use it.
Crowd Control (CC) In Warhammer

I’ve had a couple of stabs at this particular subject and each time I wasn’t quite convinced I had adopted the correct tack. So I moved my previous attempts to one side and had another go at trying to convey my feelings on this particularly thorny subject.
To put it simply, the CC in Warhammer is irrelevant, it offers no real value to the game, apart from a few amusing situations, when you punt someone off a cliff. Whoopee do. In my eyes it’s the equivalent to a console games version of CC, which trust me, isn’t a compliment. However lets put a nice tick in the game designers box for CC.
Warhammer 1.3.0 Provisional Patch Notes

Okay, far to much to comment on at the moment, put I will be working through it again to pick out my highlights. Please take a balanced view on any character changes, I am sure no one is out to get you personally.
So without further ado, go hither for 1.3.0. What I will say is, there are a lot of userability changes in there, that people have been asking for, for quite a while, so make sure you read the whole thing.
