I appreciate that this is a little bit on the late side, but other more important things came up on Sunday.

Now I would have liked to have said, spank a tank, but that would have been a great untruth, since the only person getting spanked was me. I very much feel like a moth drawn to the flame of the Eternal Citadel, I know it’s bad for my mood, but I can’t resist the allure of easy insignia. So what if I think it’s a shower of pooh for a caster, but what choice is there? The ease of acquiring the book of +1 insignia, does imply the scenarios ultimate purpose.

do_not_enterOne of the more interesting things in the 1.3.1 leaked patch notes has to be the scenario quitter debuff, to help motivate those people who like to wimp out when the going gets too tough (See just below for exact text). I don’t think it takes Deep Thought to figure out my particular standpoint on this issue.  I have little time for people who log out (IRL issues accepted), when the battle starts going against them, or join up midway and quit immediately since the current scoreline doesn’t promise a favourable outcome.

Players who leave a Scenario prior to a Scenario’s completion will now be given a Quitter! debuff. This debuff prevents the gain of Experience and Renown for five minutes.

Please remember that this isn’t guaranteed to make it into the 1.3.1 patch, since they were leaked, but the chances are good (Well I certainly hope so).

Well after a week of frankly poor judgement and indecision on Mythics part (Re: Winds/Whimpers Of Change), they had the common sense to respond with an nice upswing for weekend. Yes, like a bolt from the blue, The Struggle For Nordenwatch turned up. A pleasant surprise I might add. Of course it will be another Live Event I will not complete. But you know, it’s the thought that counts.

Of all the changes in 1.2, the possibility for an instant ORvR fight, has got me the most excited. Yes it’s “Rally Cry Time“. Now since Mythic have organised some nice tie ins to the Live Event tasks (Kill 25 orcs/dwarfs, collect 10 weapons), then this function has a good chance of initially working. Maybe we can have the “Rocky” tune playing as we port in, just to set the right kind of mood.

More 1.2 Patch Information @ GoW

Since I am not posting a lot of information and commentary at the moment, this doesn’t mean other people aren’t providing valuable news.

Dreamlane @ Garrison Of War is onto the 3rd part of his 1.2 patch evaluation, which today is showing some nice stuff for scenario’s and potion persistance through death. So pop on over and give him some love.

Well it seems that a number of blogs have hit upon roughly the same city capture issues  over the weekend. You see I am not losing my mind. Now Reroller put something together which was much more coherently constructed than my previous days rant, so pop over and have a good read. Oh yes, if you also have time read this at Hardcore Casual, it covers Syncaines experiences, which were the total opposite of mine. It’s always good to have balanced opinions, to much negativity can rot the brain.

What a bitter disappointment.

Well I would say bitter disappointment, if I could have actually reached it. You see there is a bit of an annoying flaw. To get to the scenario that controls ultimate access to the IC, you need to go to a portal in the north of the Maw, which is north of the chaos wastes. Well guess what happens to your whole IC experience if you have 30 odd destruction sitting outside the Maw portal and you missed the initial rush to get inside? Answers on a postcard to “Annoyed Of Karak Eight Peaks”.
