A little while ago, I wrote a small bit of text about whether I thought Warhammer actually needed the return of the 4 cut capital cities. One of the points I tried to make, was that I felt our current capitals weren’t being fully utilised. So with that thought in my mind, I considered how last years Night Of Murders Murdah live event, could be spiced up a little, but with more of a ORvR city focus.

I’m sure we all remember the furore there was when 4 of the 6 capital cities were dropped during beta, in move which basically kept the launch of Warhammer on track. To say it was seen as a bit of a betrayal, would be a mild understatement, but which dovetails me nicely onto todays subject matter. Now a couple of days ago, Krosuss in one of his mighty comments, alluded to a desire to see the return of the MIA capital cities, which got me thinking.

I am just painting the house, which on the outside is hardcore pebble dash, which is not a lot of fun and is very very slow work. So just a quick note to say hello. Time passes so quickly and before you know it, a good couple of days have passed.
Beyond the sands is going reasonable well and there is a faint possibility that I may well finish a live event this time. If destruction could please stop sieging Altdorf on Karak Eight Peaks, long enough for some of us part timers to log on and grab some of the quests.

Well it was my 2nd night of dungeoning in Altdorf and even though we successfully completed all 3 dungeons, I can honestly say it wasn’t the most inspiring way to spend 4/5 hours of valuable free time. It wasn’t the people, they were all fine and 99% of the time a joy to be with. But the dungeons are just blah blah blah blah blah blah. I feel like I need a couple of weeks off, just to get rid of that deflated feeling. My mind boggles how some of my guild mates could have found the drive to have tramped through that crap so many times. Nothing shows more, how truly crazy they are.

Well tonight was the 1st time I have visited the 3 level 40 dungeons of our fine capital city Altdorf. The dungeons were Sigmars Crypt, Warpblade Tunnels and another one which was a repeat of the Warpblade tunnels, so was instantly forgettable. +1 for dungeon count, -1 for interesting content, congratulations Mythic. It took the group about 4 hours to do all 3, which I actually felt was a reasonable time. I was the token gimp in the party, with much derision (in a friendly way) of my very substandard gearing, of which most had been given to me previously by my fellow guildies.

Well it seems that a number of blogs have hit upon roughly the same city capture issues over the weekend. You see I am not losing my mind. Now Reroller put something together which was much more coherently constructed than my previous days rant, so pop over and have a good read. Oh yes, if you also have time read this at Hardcore Casual, it covers Syncaines experiences, which were the total opposite of mine. It’s always good to have balanced opinions, to much negativity can rot the brain.
