Yep, the god of war had a right mood on last night and pretty much switched off for the whole evening. I appreciate that Tyr is also the god of war (Single combat), but since I don’t like to get my hands dirty, I stuck with Odin.
I log on, just missing a city siege and then spent the rest of the evening in zones which were just not going to flip. I mean Praag really wanted to, we had a successful defensive of the Southern Garrison, while our forces were also sieging Garrison Of Skulls in the north. Having been involved in both defense and attack, I was looking at 2 keep bonuses, which is always nice when it happens.
We got the keep door in the north down to 3% before our ram blew up, and then to add insult to injury a couple of resource carriers made it to their destination and healed the destruction door up to 21%. I’m sure we were all thinking, one more bloody swing. I could have cried. The problem was, it was Friday night, already 10.30pm and I really needed to get down stairs to spend some “Quality Time” with the wife. So in the end, I just had to walk away from about 20K in RPs. I’ll be honest, it hurt. That’s about 6% of RR 72 in that capture. In the end, I spent just over 2 hours online and acquired a poxy 10% of RR 72.
The funny thing is, the previous night I had Odin as my co pilot for the whole session, and proceeded to have one of the best evenings since the christmas break. 32% in 3 hours, which I have to admit was fantastic. I still can’t work out where the RP’s came from, but it was just one of the those evenings where I was in the right place at the right time.
Speaking of right place, right time, I had popped on earlier in the day for about 30 minutes and picked up just under 10K for being in an end zone just before Order lost it. 400% AAO on about 2.4K, turns in a nice little bonus. Timing is key, along with a massive slice of good fortune.
On final thing before I pop out. The classes I pity most at the moment. Sub RR60 MDPS, boy do you must have some endurance to play those classes. Trying to stay alive when you are in the thick of it, against the multitude of RR80+’s that the game is riddled with now. It would try the patience of a saint. I salute your dedication and stubbornness.
