Not a lot of love for the new instance in the warband I went in with and we ended up winning, so god knows what the other side thought. Of course it may be that it was too one-sided and wasn’t a fair encounter, but how often do you get a balanced encounter in the city siege? At least with that, you can breeze through it within 20 mins, lets say. This could be a real grind, even when you’re winning.
But this is what the PTS server is for, to iron out issues like this and resolve them, so that the general populace don’t have to and at the moment the place is an issue, that no amount of atmospheric lighting is going to fix. Lets hope there is a Plan B.
When I think back to it, it’s like a giant blood bowl/deathmatch, but without a real spark. Honestly the only real reason to go at this time is for the loot and I’m sure there is something in the Geneva Convention about torturing prisoners (Sorry I mean subscribers).
The loot could be a positive and with it being packed with RR65s, then loot drops are good, but I couldn’t work out why we were getting conq crests, since I thought killing R65’s + would preclude that.
Stage 2 with Thrott and his 2 rat orges could be a bit of a nightmare without quite a few healers in your warband. They really do munch through your side and with no seeming response to their insta death. Uplift their size as well, so they seem a bit more epic, they are bosses of course and should be wee bit more mighty for mobs that have so many goddam hitpoints.
There were a few touches I liked for instance, were that the rat orges go onto the surrounding platforms and kick any of the opposing side into the centre bowl and I think Thrott drags off the top platforms any RDPS, so they can’t kill him in safety, all things indicating that Mythic have an eye on any abuses of the system we may think up.
I think the one comment that someone said in vent, was that the artwork deserves something better. Anyways, I’m going to log onto Karak Norn with my RP, since I have no particular desire to do the instance again.
