In what can only be called an advanced scouting mission, I briefly logged onto Warpblade, just to check all was well before tomorrow night, which is of course the European PTS night. I took a few screenshots, but nothing that hasn’t already been posted elsewhere.
I did nip down to Passwatch Castle and was generously helped on my way by a goblin shaman, very christian of him/her. It usefully forced a respawn within the Castle, which did highlight an immediate concern. If I had anywhere near the lag I’ve experienced previously in the tier 4 zones, I would never make it over that gantry from the tower respawn, without falling to my death. It could get so bad, we may need to set up a permanent Salvation Army post there, just to help talk the jumpers down safely. I have to honest, I’m missing the keep lords already, they were your last line of defence, allowing a last ditch opportunity to kick those invading scum out of your castle. I still not sure about removing them.
While here, I decided to pass the Skaven PvE camps and they looked just as unimpressive as previous screenshots have shown, a shame really. Nice idea, shame about the immersiveness.
I also took a small detour into tier 2, just to have a look around Troll Country, in case Mythic had left anything lying around, that may give any clues to what else was planned, but nothing. What I did appreciate without any other souls around, was how good the keep architecture was. Most of the time in ORvR, you spend your life looking at 2 bit of digital wood and/or health bars, without looking up and smelling the roses (Over the rotting flesh of course). We spend so much time zooming around, looking for the next person to turn into a corpse that the vista of the game, just passes us by.
I’ve yet to read any commentary from Wednesday, which isn’t in German, so hopefully once my daughter is asleep I can go a hunting.
One final thing, has anyone else experienced not being rewarded in RPs for a zone flip while in a scenario, yet still receiving the crests and medallions? I had this happen to me last night and I have to be honest, it does make me nervous doing a scenario when a zone is close to flipping.
