I appreciate that this is a little bit on the late side, but other more important things came up on Sunday.
Now I would have liked to have said, spank a tank, but that would have been a great untruth, since the only person getting spanked was me. I very much feel like a moth drawn to the flame of the Eternal Citadel, I know it’s bad for my mood, but I can’t resist the allure of easy insignia. So what if I think it’s a shower of pooh for a caster, but what choice is there? The ease of acquiring the book of +1 insignia, does imply the scenarios ultimate purpose.
At least this weekend I got a new title, Rat Sniffer, it’s the one you get if you click on that little Skaven dude who runs around on one of the opposite section of the map.
For a change I wanted to attempt to quantify my misery, so I decided to record my weekends win/loss ratio, with the amount of emblems accrued each time. What was a bit unfortunate, was that I lost a good chunk of Sunday to the “PC Rebuild” and Friday night was a wash out, but never the less this is how it went.
Saturday Night 25/9/2010
Win (6), Loss (1), Loss (1), Loss (5), Loss (2), Win (6) .. Bonus Emblem Book Obtained (+1) .. Loss (3), Loss(3), Win (8), Loss (6), Loss (4), Win (8), Win (8), Loss (4), Win (8), Loss (4).
Total 16 Scenarios, 77 Emblems (Average 4.8) and approximately 32 insignia. I viewed this as a very good run.
Sunday Night 27/09/2010
Loss (3), Loss (4), Loss (2), Loss (2), Loss (2), Loss (3), Loss (2), Win (8), Loss (5), Loss (2), Win (8), Loss (5), Loss (2), Loss (5).
Total 14 Scenario 53 Emblems (Average 3.78), approximately 28 insignia. The second day feels a lot more normal for me. Rare wins, where 4+ emblems is put down as a win in my book.
The funny thing is, without any previous numbers to hand, this felt like a more successful weekend. It was like there were less opted groups out. Maybe I just managed to avoid them, maybe they sated themselves on the previous run of the Eternal Citadel, who knows, but I felt good about the haul. Notice I said haul, not the manner in which they were acquired.
To put my measly haul into perspective, a friend of mine by the name of Teshla, somehow managed to grind his way to 321 warlord insignia. A mind numbing exercise in torture, but he’s Dutch, so I’ve learnt to make allowances.
Off to the pub on Thursday night, so don’t do anything to crazy.
