So I’ve been in tier 4 for a couple of evenings now with Laminar (CR 32), reminding myself of the general zone layout. The one thing that’s become readily apparent, is how few open warbands there are. I can see over 100 people in front of me and not one open warband in the list. Now I appreciate that some may be for alliances and what not, but not to see an open warband for an evening, seems to run counter to Mythic’s original aim. Open to all, just drop straight in. I’m just a little bemused by it, that’s all. I’m sure once my leet status is known, I will be on everyone’s friends list. Okay a few more RR’s and a little higher gearing wouldn’t go amiss.
Last night was my first experience of a 1.3.5 City Seige and it was nice to visit the Inevitable City again. It seems to have changed quite significantly from my previous trips and in the process shrugged off the tag of “The Inevitable Yawn”. I did wonder if the urban planning department had to go thru a democratic residential approval process for the new layout? Ultimately though, it was another fact-finding trip, since I was totally clueless as to the whats and wherefores of the whole thing, so I’d imagine for me at least, reading Gaarrwarr Gabs City Seige Guide will now be more enlightening.
I was puzzled though and maybe someone can illuminate me. There seems to be a chokepoint between the first two control points and the third one in the Inevitable City, at least from an order point of view. Yet somehow an order party managed to get to the north of the city and attack this choke point from behind. Of course they were slaughtered, but it was a nice try. I just can’t workout how they got up there.
I didn’t make it as far as stage 2 (Well I did have to spend sometime with the wife), but it was fun. My only regret is that no one from my old guild is around to enjoy it with. Just me and my standard. Even the dustballs are getting lonely in guild chat.
PS – I love the winged beastie mount for order, they’re quite cool.
