Firstly, where were Destruction and the RvR we were promised? We (Order) lost control and I expected a “Horde” to pour into the land of the dead, nothing, nada, not even any ghosts. Have I missed the boat on this again? Sometimes I couldn’t even catch a cold, when it comes to finding a fight. So in the whole evening the guild group killed one person and saw the death spam for 3 others (Approximately), though admitted this wasn’t the primary purpose of the evening. So a whole area populated by maybe 20 people. Not a good sign really and definitely not a good return on development time. I do hope other servers LotD are much more populated. I have said, as have many others, this game is population dependant and increasing the playable area, only thins that population out even further.
Anyway onto the matters in hand, our guild LotD PQ accumulator. We finally got a stuff together and got rolling about 8pm, by 10.30pm we had finished all 10 PQs (Allowing an unhealthy amount of time to find Ricci, which wasn’t frustrating oh no. References in guild chat to DAOC -TOA ML4.3 with the poxy roaming lion).
Overall, okay and with a bit more practise we could get the times down significantly, which considering it was a first run through for many, was very satisfactory. Now I am not sure what kind of numbers these PQs are aimed at, but I assumed that a full group would be sufficient, which it was, but I was never quite comfortable until we had completed them all. It could all have gone so horribly wrong.
As an evening I thought it was fine, though a couple of PQs did set a few people off, like the carrion birds & ricci. Also for those of us coming from DAOC, it was strangely reminiscence of the TOA desert levels. But heh, I thought it was fine use of my time and it certainly beat swapping keeps, which I imagine I will be returning to shortly. We are hopefully going to reward Monday nights effort, by going into the LotD dungeons on Wednesday night. Honestly I have no idea how long the four of them will take, but for me it’s new material and anything beats avoiding Sigmars Crypt.
The big question is? Will people want to repeat it next week, or swap to a pick 2/3 PQs and raid a specific dungeon or do none of the above. I can see the attraction of hitting a subset of PQs and then a dungeon, though on the golden scarab count doing them all was brilliant, I did pick up about 25 of them. Just a shame they weren’t on my KotBS, yep I was on my Runepriest.
