A.k.a. Film watch 3.
First off, I have read the graphic novel, but it was 20 years ago and yes before you say anything, I am that old. Hrumph.
Secondly I enjoyed the film and I don’t understand what all the whining is about. It’s a good film. I do wonder if people now expect things to be handed to them on a plate, what’s wrong with having to think alittle, maybe that’s why I enjoyed Usual Suspects.
I think people went in with the wrong idea. The film is not about superpowers like in x-men, superman & spiderman, but the heroes themselves. Just because they are meant to be a superhero, doesn’t mean that your life isn’t crummy, crap filled existence and from my standpoint, that’s what it’s about. Oh yes and there is a plot in the film where someone is killing heroes.
I liked the change at the end, regarding the squid versus the explosion emulating Dr Manhattans powers, it just seemed more appropriate.
