Yes, you know what I am talking about, it’s the train of people that just goes from BO to BO to Keep, worshiping at the shrine of the holy RP. Are people that lacking in imagination that they just go along with the path of least resistance? Their present concept of fun, is this monotonous trawl through the zones, accumulating renown points, influence and potentially a piece of raid armour.Yawn.
Is this what people signed up for when they subscribed to Warhammer? This appalling choo choo train. Now lets not try and blame Mythic on this one, people also have a responsibility for creating their own fun.
Now I will grant you, at this present time the ORvR lakes are devoid of anything that would provide any momentum for smaller pockets of action and influence, lets pray that’s these are not to far away. I would agree that the smallest thing you can go into the lakes for is a BO, so unless you can take one single handed, then you need to join a group or warband. Group begets warband, warband begets zerg = GWZ, darwinism in action I think.
So a small note to Mythic, please provide activities that will generate small eddies of activity in the ORvR lakes. I appreciate that these will end up providing a focus for annoying groups of people who will like to hover up 1’s, 2’s and 3’s, but it’s a cross that will need to be born.
This whole blog entry was generated on the back of 30-40 minutes within a choo choo train, after which time I had lost the will to live and picking fluff out of my navel was significantly more enticing. So if you take part in the choo choo train, then stand back and take a long hard look at yourself and decide, is this the best you can do with your game time? Yes that means you Tesla.
I can now tick “Experienced The Choo Choo Train” as part of my Warhammer experiences. Ho hum.
The best thing to do in this situation is to /follow and alt-tab out. Check your blogroll and such. I know I’ve done it.
But I just find it such a depressing way to spend game time, which is why I will abstain from the whole process. It’s not for me this choo choo train.
You wound me, Skar. Choochooing is the nation Warhammer sport. (Not to mention that it gets me 12.5K rps/hr. But yeah, it is pretty mind numbing.
It’s true that it is depressing I guess. Why log in only to alt-tab?
