I was given a rune priest tip today from Zeede, in my guild. Respec to Valaya and get Rune Of Burning. Well since I am still leveling, I need as much help as possible. So I respec’d this afternoon and gave it a go. Oh yes, a nice uplift in damage. I now can drill through an equal level mob in 12 seconds. So the Rune of Burning is up and ready for the next mob. Now I am going to throw some more mastery points back into Grungni and see if I can get Runic Blasting again.
Obviously my healing is going to suffer, but that can be sorted once I get to 40.
Well this has been the first weekend where I have been playing 1.1. So far so good. We still need ORvR quests for 1 or 2 people, so that ORvR influence can be acquired when there is no ORvR happening. Also I believe it’s going to be a very good way of seeding the ORvR lakes with starter action when there isn’t enough happening to take BO’s.
The problem I have with the ORvR influence bar, is for some people it is not going to happen, those who can’t play inside the prime hours or don’t have the time to sink into waiting around for things to happen. Personally I need to be effective when I log on. I can’t spend 30 minutes trying to find some ORvR action. So if it’s happening great, but honestly more often than not it’s not, shrug of shoulders on my part.
Maybe this slightly negative viewpoint will change, when I take a character into a tier where I am at the bottom of the tier and have the whole 10 levels in which to gain these influence bars. Coming into it while effectively at the end of that tier, is probably not a good time to offer any real analysis, especially on a quiet server (well it is when I am on). So the jury is out at the moment.
Oh yes, the global cool down animation is annoying. I find it similar to someone firing electricity through my icons. Needs work. No other real thoughts on 1.1, since I really haven’t absorbed enough of the changes.
