This TV series really doesn’t hit the spot anymore. I still watch it, however it’s really not delivering the killer blow. Those cliffhanger feelings I was getting in season 1, are missing. Is it too many characters, a general the lack of tension, maybe toooo much time travel? Who knows, but it’s just not there any more. A bit of a whine, but it’s a real shame that’s all.
Now a series that I am really getting into, is Fringe. The mad scientist is brilliantly played by John Noble (Austrialian actor, who played Denthor in LOTR II & III). He can really get across that feeling that he is close to the edge of his santity and often outshines the others in any shot. Obviously if it had Gillian Anderson, it would be perfect. Lets hope the writers can continue to deliver a series that doesn’t flag like heroes.
Strangely I left Warhammer alone last night and “Choose” to go to the cinema instead. Heresy I hear you cry, well to be honest it’s going a bit slow at the moment with the old Rune Priest. So a night off wasn’t going to impact my progress that much.
I actually watched a film called “The Express” which is about an American Football player called Ernie Davis. The only strange thing is, that I am European, but I tend to enjoy American sporting films, like Any Given Sunday, Friday Night Lights, etc, etc. It was a good film and covered an era of American Football that I don’t tend to see that often, the 1960’s.
