Yep, if you read the forums and trawl through all the crap people are getting wtf owned, all I can say is “c’est la vie”. What I found very impressive was that within 24 hours these people had taken on board all the changes, defined new strategies for this system and basically come back with it’s all pointless. I do enjoy the “I quit” posts and “Bring back 1.3.6″, they bring a smile to my face. Mind the door as you leave.
Now I don’t tend to agree with most stuff people have written, but there are always a few grains of truth in there. Of course there are issues, it was foolish to imagine there being anything else after the first weekend of real action.
It’s disappointing that people are still going to the most populated zone, then trying to make a difference/get an easy ride and then have the cheek to complain about performance (Server). If you throw yourself into the volcano, expect to get burnt, badly. The maths the server needs to handle, is the maths it needs to handle, there is no easy solution to that problem. Yes, yes, I’m sure we could all code it better.
Try the quieter zones, you can go there and have some smaller one-sided fights and still earn good rp’s, perhaps with the AAO bonus thrown in for good measure.
I was disappointed to see Order just sticking to the pairing where they had an advantage, with Destro doing the same thing and only coming together when they needed to decide whose capital was going to get ravaged again. It took barely no time at all for both sides to decide on the most optimal way to avoid unnecessary conflict.
I was lucky to have a small group running and we managed to make some good progress, mainly playing the quieter zones when possible, especially when the lag was horrific in Praag.

City instances/Thanquol’s Incursion instances are not properly creating – investigating

I celebrated every time I saw the system message that the server was experiencing a heavy load in this area. It has been a long time since the servers were this populated.

Things like this make me disappointed in the RvR players. I try to figure out why a player, who is playing an RvR game, would decide upon playing the game in such a way as to avoid the RvR content. It’s baffling…
We need a better breed of RvR’s! Or perhaps there needs to be more “forced” conflict introduced? I don’t know…
It’s disappointing to see a zone where there is 1 group of destro running around, basically unopposed.

On Gorfang, I was seeing a great deal of even fighting for Zones. Seeing warnings of heavy population was great. Bit it became apparent you can no longer defend a keep while being slightly outnumbered. Which ever side has more simply wins. By Sunday and last night I noticed that the majority were not willing to try the same effort asks they were on Friday.
I was still out there. But only for renown. In no case did we ever think we could save a keep. We were right.
Those that are QQing and shove it. Even if you like small time tactics like I do, there still plenty of ways to do that.
