I’m not sure how I’d feel if I was Karl Franz or Malekith, if I knew my armour was no longer going to be at the top of the tree. Not being a lore aficionado, I simply don’t know if the kings are the true top dogs in Warhammer Lore, or there are other individuals that outrank them in the power player stakes. If so, how will these new armour sets be made to fit into the general lore.
It also appears that Mythic recognise that the power gap is a problem in Warhammer. Well what a shocker that is, you only have to look at WoW to see what a mess equipment has made of the game. It should be at the forefront of every design decision made, which to be fair it probably is.
These new active RA’s are going to have to be sooooo carefully balanced. It was bad enough if you met 8 players in DAOC, who were RR11 (RR80 plus in Warhammer) and they were fully loaded with RA’s. So I hate to think what 24 people could do.
It appears we are going underground as well, with the Skaven key to this. Which I think is the right decision. It keeps the playing area’s tight. To much playing space is a bad thing, if you don’t have the people to fill it. How this fits together is anyones guess.
I’m intrigued on how the pricing will work for the 3 RvR Packs. Personally, I’d like £8 for the 1st one you buy, £7 for the second, with £6 for the 3rd. Being able to buy anyone in any sequence would be great. This is of course wholly dependant on what Mythic have put in each one.
I need more filling in my sandwich Mythic. Give me something to really bite into.
There are some higher powers in the Warhammer universe. Some possible options …
- Skaven Vermin Lord
- Nagash, most powerful of the Undead
- Venerable Lord Kroak, Slann magic-user, most powerful in the world
Those are just a few as there are many powerful Chaos entities.
I just wonder how much pimped out our toons can get. Many of the Sov sets are pretty over the top.
I was hoping you would come in with a few suggestions
