So you’ve all read the “news”. What little that can be gleaned from the crumbs that have fallen from the table at Gamescom. Why waste my time with insignificant crap like this. Are Mythic being specifically obtuse in some vain hope of appearing mystical?
1. 3 RvR packs – How exactly does this fit together. What are my options?
2. Skaven – In what form, how will it work?
3. 20 more renown levels. Marvelous, but you’ve eased the curve for the earlier levels. Why not throw in a pack of cookies while you’re at it. It’s to early to be easing the Renown point curve.
Why am I so arsed off? Well because Mythic have wasted my time. I have a limited amount of time on this earth and the older I get, the less tolerant I get of other people’s foolishness. So if you are one of the morons that work in the EA or Mythic PR departments, then all I can say is “Major Fail”. You can’t conduct a PR campaign without putting some meat on those bones and you couldn’t even make a basic stock with the bones we have been given.

I think they are leveling out the renown ranks. I am not sure that means making it easier. It is sort of what GW2 is doing with levels. Make it the same for leveling at level 1 as it is for level 80.
Basically if the total amount of renown to get to 80 is 20 million than each level would be 250k or something like that.
The problem is that doesn’t work either because at early levels you would be level 20 before you earned enough renown to be renown rank 2.
I agree that just throwing out tidbits, and expecting players to fill in the pieces you are just going to end up pissing off alot of players who might read something that was just hypothetical. Just quit talking about shouting things off the rooftops, and than not deliver.
Basically they are reducing the curve on the rp required to get the earlier realm ranks, so instead of it getting steeper sooner, they move it all down. So you end up making it easier to obtain the earlier ranks.
I’d think you’d still want your level 80 to mean as much as when you first leveled it. Not as the stituation which is now being proposed, that it’s that bit easier. Maybe when you get to RR120 (In the future), then maybe then. But I still think it’s to soon.
If they need to spread the information out over a longer period, then hand out more information on one subject and do the next subject on the next stage of the trip. Drip feeding is really annoying.
