You're certainly not a happy bunny at the moment are you?

Performance is certainly an issue, especially if people can't just throw money at the problem and buy more powerful PCs.

Forts are a substandard version of DAOCs and if we learn nothing else from Blizzard, it's that you must improve on what has gone before.

City seiges ... the very mention of them puts me into a dormant state.

I pray for no more server mergers, merely since it's an indicaton of even further decline.

Their PR model suffer from a disconnect from reality (the situation of the game). A lot of players have suffered from overhyping and feel cheated when promise after promise got broken and patches got pushed back. LotD, in my opinion, isn't a bad area at all, it gives an additional "prize" for RvR, but a negative reputation has built up so much that everything short of a miracle will be shred to pieces by all the players and ex-players.

Personally I would prefer it if they stop all kinds of advertising, lay low for a bit, spend all the energy to fix all their bugs, then maybe start selling the game again. They must do it to survive. My personal gauge is this: if by September the following issues has not been solved, they will never go beyond 300k subscriptions.

1. improve performance, to the point that a fight with 150 total people will not cause performance issue if every setting is at lowest. The way to do it doesn't matter, if they can "switch off" models like other games (Aion is, interestingly, one of them), it would reach the mark too.

2. all ability bugs to be resolved. Typo doesn't count.

3. Career rebalancing to the following careers: SW, BW/Sorc, WH/WE, WL/Mara, Magus, AM/Shaman, BG, Choppa/Slayer.

4. Changes to forts. Removal is also counted. Further changes to T4 campaign must at least be in testing, or have a extremely clear outline by that time.

5. The city siege changes they outlined must be in effect, or at least on test.

6. One or more server merges, with option of server transfer.
