It’s the truth, not a lots happening.
The guild is quiet, warhammer is quiet and a lot of the blogs are quiet. On the guild front, I am hoping that things will pick up when the Land Of The Dead turns up. Though I am in no particular rush for that, as long as it’s stable when it arrives.
Werit is posting quite a bit of information on the 1.3 PTS testing. He’s actually got a couple of videos up as well. So if you are looking for any 1.3 PTS news, then there’s a good place to start.
With all these Warhammer blogs folding up or mutating into something more all encompassing, I do wonder if Mythic will be able to roll out the same kind of viral campaign for LotD, that they did for the Slayers and Choppa’s. Is the pure Warhammer blogging actually on the edge of extinction?
As you may or may not know, it’s E3 week, which is a massive gaming shindig. It’s going to be intriguing to see if there’s any Warhammer news outflowing from EA.
When I am not online or decorating, I am currently reading Reapers Gale by Steven Erikson, which I would heartily recommend. However, you need to read the previous six books in the series to have any chance of figuring out what the beep beep was going on in this one.
Bah, Warhammer blogging just has some new faces. Still plenty more blogs tearing it up out here.
Fair enough, I will just have to spread my wings alittle further a field. Maybe it’s all the ones I was reading that have stopped. Though to be fair I never had a huge list on my browser.
Nothing lasts forever except death hehe.
There will be new blogers who take up the game for sure, but I think it will never again be what it was 5 or 6 months ago. Some people are leaving WAR frustrated and theres no way that LotD will save the game for them, some people (like myself) are just quiet because theres just nothing going on except waiting, and others fall in the middle.
I think the WAR community (thanks to the likes of Syp, and the recognition from Mythic) has done a great job motivating people to get into blogging about games. Those who are generally just gamers will find themselves spinning off into writing about whatever they are playing. What I DO think sucks, is the lack of visible support lately from Mythic. Seems that ever since the official forums went up, we dont hear from them as much. Maybe its just me though.
Maybe they will do something that involves the bloggers again in the near future. I am not sure that the work involved necessarily rewards the prospective readership.
